A research article is a work written by experts in the featured subject matter and published in a scholarly journal. Research articles must include original research conducted by the author(s). Prior to publication, articles generally undergo peer review, which is conducted by one or more colleagues in the author's field to ensure quality and suitability for publication in the journal.
